Hi Rohit,
i think mostly everything ist state of the art in CATIA. Not really all - but most of it.
When i take look on creo/Windchill: all what PTC announced at the "PTC live" about there strategy for the next years - there where PTC would like to be, other software manufacturer are already there since years (e.g. Dassault, Siemens, AutoDesk). The process orientation and the possibility to make a "free Product Development" is already given with other products. To me it's clear: with the Granite Kernel you will never get this, because for example in Context-Design working with creo means you must have a Masterplan and a route/ finished plan of your to designed product - this is in most cases not given.
A few Points more:
- have you ever worked in a real concurrent engineering environment with creo? this nearly impossible! (or you have to create dozends of files to make it possible). It is inconvenient and if you have as add-on a context design it might be your dead or you going crazy.
- the creation of Drawings is .... This is really horrible and shows at every second click a old function of Pro/E 16. And the interface of creo drafting is anything else than "fine". They have not fully redesigned it and now it's neither fish nor fowl.
- in which century we live that you need the "Filename" as one of the most important things of a CAD-System? even if you work with a PDM
- ...
Therefore (and for several other reasons) i am convinced that products of PTC anything but state of the art are.
