With some slight modifications it should be possible using recursion to sort for as many columns as demanded.

I have been trying to figure out how to do this but can't get my head around it.

Basically I would like to define an array that givers the columns to sort by and the order for the columns to be sorted, like primary sort column, secondary sort column e.t.c.

Any hints on how to modify Sort12_WE_1.xmcdz.zip to do this?

I found solution in this thread: http://communities.ptc.com/message/157405#157405

Another fine routime by Tom Gutman - we sure miss him. And he avoids recursion which sure is preferable. His approach using his Rank function and weighting and adding the various ranks according to the position in the provided column list is brilliant.

Anyway, for whatever it may be worth, here is what I (probably) had in mind four months ago. As you can see there are not much modifications necessary compared to the sort12 routine I posted.
